Where is Kathryn?

Where in the world can you find me and my husband, Bill?

  • July 2025: Enjoyed many musical concerts, especially during Alcobaça´s five-week wonderful Cistermusica festival, plus other offerings of jazz, folk music, choirs, opera, rock, and orchestras.
  • August 2025: Off to western Canada to visit family.

Here’s where we’ve travelled in 2025:

  • January: Portugal enjoying day trips into Lisbon, Leiria, Aveiro, Coimbra, and Figueira da Foz (what a beach!).
  • February and March: Dog-sitting, then cat-sitting, then more dog-sitting. Met friends on Portugal´s southern coast, the Algarve, for a few days during Carnival. Showed other friends around our lovely hometown of Alcobaça. Shared our laundry-while-traveling tips.
  • April: Three weeks in Greece, where we ate wonderful food, climbed to Meteora´s monasteries, explored ancient stadiums (Panathenaic, Delphi, Olympia, Epidaurus), toured the Peloponnese Peninsula and some islands (Kefalonia, Hydra, Poros), petted and fed feral cats, and celebrated Greek Easter.
  • May: Hosted my aunt here in Portugal and showed her some of our favourite places, including Conimbriga, the schist village of Talisnal, Porto, and Sintra.
  • June: More dog-sitting and an unexpected trip home to Canada for a funeral.
